Pre-shipment Inspection.
When importing goods into countries where pre-shipment inspection may be required, buyer is requested to inform if its organization is exempt from this regulation, or to provide copy of relevant import license. Import/Export License.
Certain products may be subject to import/export license requirements. When such requirements are in force, it is the responsibility of the buyer to secure such licenses or at least provide CICCI with the necessary application documents to obtain such license. Any delay in manufacture/delivery of goods caused by such documents/licenses will be considered as Force Majeure.
Subjects/Force Majeure.
Any Quotation/Proforma/Offer from CICCI is subject to final confirmation, discontinued products, prior sale, short shipment, strike, exchange rate fluctuations, any adjustment fees from freight provides such as war-risk, bunker surcharges etc..
Delivery / Incoterms.
Any Quotation/Proforma/Offer from CICCI is subject to Incoterms 2010. The relevant incoterm will be stated in the individual Quotation/Proforma/Offer. The buyer is requested to familiarize the Incoterms and specifically the split of cost and risks between buyer and seller.
Validity.
Validity is stated on the individual Quotation/Proforma/Offer. Is validity not stated on the individual Quotation/ Proforma /Offer, then a general validity of 30 days from date of Quotation/Proforma/Offer is applicable. Subject to CICCI general terms.
Clearing and duty costs.
Unless the CICCI Quotation/Proforma/Offer specifically state that clearing costs, local duties VAT etc. is include, such is NOT INCLUDED.
Incoterms DDP will indicate that clearing and duty is included
Incoterms DAP/DAT will indicate that clearing and duty is NOT included.
CICCI can separately arrange customs clearing, please consult any CICCI office.
When CICCI is requested to perform customs clearing, the buyer is required to provide full administrative support to CICCI, providing any and all documents required to perform the customs clearing, such as possible duty exemption documents etc.
CICCI does not take any responsibility of delays in the customs clearing and/or any additional costs generated due to delays, changes in customs fee etc.
Warranty.
A general warranty of 12 month from date of shipment is applicable if no special warranty is stated in the CICCI Quotation/Proforma/Offer.
The general warranty covers manufactures design and labour faults, and is subject to normal wear and tear.
The general warranty is subject to return of warranty item to CICCI for repair or replacement, at the description of CICCI.
Please consult any CICCI office immediately for directions, should a warranty claim arise.
Payment.
Payment terms are stated in the individual Quotation/Proforma/Offer, or is subject to reconfirmation at time of order.
If Bank Account number is not stated in the Invoice, please consult any CICCI office.
Bank charges in buyers and sellers respective country, is for the account of the respective party.
Payments shall be made in the currency stated in the invoice.
Any direct outlays of monies by CICCI, covering customs clearing, duty etc., are to be paid by buyer in advance.
Delayed payments will be charged at 1 % per month interest.
Insurance.
In case of insurance coverage arranged by CICCI, the Insurance Policy will be issued in the name and in favour of the buyer.
Unless otherwise stated by CICCI, insurance coverage is valid up to nominated destination, according to Incoterms 2010.
In any delivery and/or in case of loss or damage please note the following:
Consult your clearance department/agent to verify that the container seal nos. is the same as mentioned in the bill of lading and that it is unbroken before taking delivery of the container.
In case of any discrepancies or if the seal has been broken or if the container has been damaged, please make a remark on the oceanbill and/or Reception Document when taking delivery of the container.
Furthermore we kindly ask you immediately to let us know about the situation in order that we can contact the insurance company and revert to you with their instruction.
In general please follow the instructions on the back of the insurance certificate.
